"Any big crowd, with its waving signs, descends too much into mindlessness for my taste."

You had me hooked with paragraph 2.

Huzzah!

Beautifully expressed. Quite moving. Let us take comfort that so many of us are coming together in the struggle to vanquish the Obama/Biden/Harris progressive transformation of the American experiment. Let us resolve to never surrender to the uniparty fools who have trampled on our natural and legal rights. We are patriots.

We believe in and represent the American idea. We are a freedom and liberty loving people; the very best to ever exist on this planet. We represent the last best hope for mankind. We will pull through. The greatest ally of all is on our side. It was German. Chancellor Bismarck who declared, "There is a Providence that protects idiots, drunkards, children and the United States."

I'm with Puddleglum.

""One word, Ma'am," he said, coming back from the fire; limping, because of the pain. "One word. All you've been saying is quite right, I shouldn't wonder. I'm a chap who always liked to know the worst and then put the best face I can on it. So I won't deny any of what you said. But there's one thing more to be said, even so. Suppose we have only dreamed, or made up, all those things – trees and grass and sun and moon and stars and Aslan himself. Suppose we have. Then all I can say is that, in that case, the made-up things seem a good deal more important than the real ones. Suppose this black pit of a kingdom of yours is the only world. Well, it strikes me as a pretty poor one. And that's a funny thing, when you come to think of it. We're just babies making up a game, if you're right. But four babies playing a game can make a play-world which licks your real world hollow. That's why I'm going to stand by the play-world. I'm on Aslan's side even if there isn't any Aslan to lead it. I'm going to live as like a Narnian as I can even if there isn't any Narnia."

Very nice piece!! We are “fools for Christ”. God raises up unusual and imperfect people to do His will. May Trump be one of those!!

Good piece, Jeremy. Going to a Trump rally is like a 4th of July party circa 1988, or 1998; everyone is of similar recognizance of America and what it stands for.

It is the complete opposite outside. My governor - Tim Jong Walz - is the current example. Disgusting.

it is always the "fools" who love the country they wish to save and then do so, thus the power of true love and the sacrifice it always demands

America is too large, too well resourced, too geographically remote from real enemies to fall from within or without. America is also organically extremely Federated and so resilient.

America itself is a Federation of 50 states- each with own NG and Air NG. Each state replicates the 3 branches of govt.

Tens of thousands of towns and cities do as well. Many have their own police, as do the states.

85,000 political entities, with at least 20,000 separate law enforcement organizations.

All actual figures.

Not just each state but each level of govt replicates the 3 branches - Executive, Legislative, Judicial. Nearly all have intrinsic force.

Each has legitimacy and usually legal legitimacy. > The plenary police powers are held locally (broad powers).

Now the people; 327,000,000 over 2 million square miles, with at least 400 million guns and estimated 12 TRILLION rounds of ammunition.

And they’re all riled up.

The point being; taking the Capital (DC) is simple. Taking the Country IS NOT.

In fact the above problem; solve America for Coup- has no solution. Mind you by trickery they took DC in 2020… and in doing so lost The Country, which is Continental in size.

They took what they can’t hold-

Especially when you’ve made enemies of the police, and the soldiers don’t care for you either.

Yeah but they have F-16’s! Yeah and who’s gonna fly them, and refuel them and what if the ammo and fuel dumps are blown? Can anyone with an IQ higher than 80 conceive of American military (largely from our working poor, lower and middle income economy) turning their weapons on fellow Americans? Sure the greasy lame line up of the General officer and Admiral corps will order it, but it is common sense and part of our military ethos not to follow illegal orders and follow them not will be in fact the over riding response. “Captain go ahead. Go ahead and fire on those Americans out there…just go ahead…” we are past Hooverville in DC it only worked once and Dugout Douglas MacArthur led that nasty bit of work. If the biggest challenge for the hyper wealthy and politically connected is deciding on how to get to the Hamptons or the islands off Cape Cod, for the Labor Day weekend, the likihood of understanding the vast majority of Americans and how they think and feel is an impossible task. One can guess that there are many more Americans who see the grift and are fed up. Say what you will the Trumpster shows up, answers questions and chats widely with with Elon Musk and so on and so forth and the current presumptive democrat candidate for president can’t speak without a script and needs a month to prepare for a press conference. It’s going to be interesting to say the least!

I keep saying they have no people now, they being the coalition of 2020. Sooner or later a fraud and scam dawns on even dullards.

Any street muscle remaining will NOT have official power, nor tech elites, etc.

we’ll see what muscle the Left has in Chicago next week.

Apparently Chicago CAN be policed when it’s important.

In any case it’s the Left vs DNC.

There’s really no win for either.

The Dems over-extended in 2020 and 21, they have been getting thrown back everywhere.

HAMAS splitting the American Left was decisive.

It’s a coalition of hatreds that did hate others more, especially Trump and Whites, but now hate each other… and now fear us.

Trump isn’t perfect and we all know he won’t be able to save our country but we’d rather go down fighting the good fight clinging to our guns, Bibles and remaining dignity as our dawn’s early light turns to dusk. Maybe that makes us clowns but at least we’re honest about it.

The elites are falling, not the people. Not that it will be bloodless.

I’m saying drive through America and see, outside of blighted blue areas. Ok. Here’s what I saw here where I live Friday.

Flash flooding, houses and barns and bridges and roads gone, and within the hour the people were picking up, cleaning up, helping each other and kids were playing.

Kids were fishing: in the yard.

Noon August 9th.

Right because nothing has reached crisis mode yet. There will always be pockets of decency and valor no matter where you are. An economic reckoning is coming. Harris has a better than good chance of winning because many states are putting abortion issues on the ballots; this ensures the one issue voter will show up on voting day and vote down ballot democrat. Even if we happen to win it only delays the inevitable by 4-8 years. Fact is that many (not all) immigrants of the last 60 came to make money and they have no connection to our history and culture; they have their own and not much of it includes the constitution or the bill of rights. There’s a reason support for the first amendment is waning. Our numbers are going down because people aren’t having children. Once population parity is reached a struggle for power will begin unless we make a concerted effort to be like Singapore. It is by no means certain that the country of our birth will survive this.
